Club Background
AFC Bournemouth, also known as the Cherries, is a professional football club founded in 1899, currently playing in the Premier League. They are based at Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth, Dorset.
The club’s history includes various name changes and a period in lower divisions before their recent rise to prominence as one of the most exciting and progressive clubs in the Premier League.

The Process
The highlight of our partnership with the club has been the recent appointment of a Director of Medical & Performance – a vitally important senior level hire for the club.
The role involved working closely with Tiago Pinto (President of Football Operations), ensuring he was kept updated with progress calls throughout.
It was a particularly challenging and complex headhunting assignment and led to speaking with senior level professionals at elite football clubs throughout the world – including Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, America and Saudi Arabia.
The Outcome.
Following an extensive and robust shortlisting, interviewing, selection and negotiation process, we were able to hire one of the leading football medical experts from an elite club in the German Bundesliga to the club.
